It might be a good idea to have your car brakes looked at by a professional automotive place. That way you don't have to worry about making a mistake and ruining something on the car. It would be a good opportunity to have your brakes serviced as well. http://www.gpautomotive.net/service/brake_service_repair/

It's out of adjustment. Or the brake drum is out of round.

There's possibly a broken spring in the drum and your brakes are 'locked on' or your parking brake cable is wound too tight. Did you recently do any brake work on the car? Did you slam on the brakes? A repair manual can show you step by step troubleshooting and repair instructions on the entire car, based on a complete teardown and rebuilt with pictures. I have used Haynes Repair Manual from Auto Zone for $20. Best investment for one who has a used car. Good Luck!

02 sentra replaced rear brakes driver side worn down put wheel back on will not spin free park brake not stuck when wheel off drum spins ok but if you put pressure on lug area it does not want to turn

Pull the tire and just tighten up the drum. See what it is rubbing against. Backing plate? If it not rubbing. Probably bent the face of the drum. I would replace it.

Wheel hop rear wheels

you have bad shocks-and- or tires that need replaced-while car is setting try to push down on the rear and see if it goes down easily and then bounces when released-jack rear end up-try to spin tires and see if they spin freely-check tires for cupping or funny wear patterns-you also may have brake shoe that are coming apart and locking a wheel up without putting on the brakes-so lots of options here-hope you get it solved-cheers Denny

Passanger side rear tire lock up

There is a chance that your Brake Hardware failed and is jamming the Wheel

But more common is the "WHEEL CYLINDER" or Brake Caliper is froze and not releasing

This is Common with a Wheel Cylinder Failure.

Additionally, if you use your Hand Brake, it could Corrode the Cable and do this but I am putting my money on Wheel Cylinder

I have a 1993 Volvo I purchased new almost 17

Could be tire noise, could be rear wheel bearing, differential (if rear wheel driven), or could be something associated with the brake.

Try swapping the tire with another tire. If the noise moves with the tire, it's the tire. If it stays, it's brakes (unlikely for the noise you mention), rear wheel bearing, or rear differential (lack of oil). Will probably need to have a mechanic to identify and repair.

It sounds like the parking brake return spring has broken or come loose. The only way to know is to pull the wheel and drum and take a look. It sounds like the pads are still closed against the drum and haven't released. Hope this helps.
