Stand in front of the car, and open the hood. Look down at the radiator. The top hose running from the radiator to the engine. Where the hose ends, is the the cap to the thermostat. Now to replace it (got abut 30 to 40 minutes?). Go to the auto parts store and get a new thermostat and gasket. Oh, how old are the hoses? If 3 years or older, you might want to replace them. I don't know if you also want to use gasket sealant( i do use it). You will need a ratchet and sockets, screwdriver, scraper, and maybe pliers. Make sure engine is cold. Remove the top radiator hose, it will be a little hard pulling it off ( Rubber will seal against the cap due to heat). Now remove the bolts holding down the thermostat housing cap. Gently pry up the cap. STOP! turn cap over and scrape off the old gasket down to metal. Now remove the thermostat. STOP! Now lets clean the housing down to metal also. Now,( if want to use it) apply a thin coat of gasket sealant. Replace the thermostat. place down the new gasket. On the cap, also apply a thin coat of gasket sealant. Replace the cap, and bolt back down. Replace the hose. Now if you did use the gasket sealant, give it about 30 minutes to set up. Start the car, and let warm up. When the thermostat opens, check for leaks. Now is the time to replace any lost fluid. Never add any thing to the radiator when cold. It could crack it or the engine. Hope this helps

Where is the thermostat sensor located in a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer engine?

For the I6 engine, the actual thermostat is on the drivers side below the alternator. The coolant temp sensor is in a bad place. Approx 06' and up, they changed the location to the drivers side, wayyyy in the back. PITA to get to. 05' and older had it located right above the thermostat, was easy.

Where is thermostat located?

The pressure cap on the four-cylinder engine is on top of the thermostat housing, on the driver's side of the intake manifold, rather than on the radiator. Locating the thermostat is easy, just look under the pressure cap.

Thermostat

Thermostat replacement is easy and takes about one hour. Not all thermostats are located in the same place, so check with your local parts store for the exact location in your car.

Thermostat replacement how easy is it on a 1998 cadillac deville 4.6l sfi dohc 8 cyl

Thermostat replacement is relatively easy for an experienced technician. However, it's harder than a 2 bolt change found on older classic cars.

It is located in a thermostat housing on the left side of the engine.

Look to see if you can do this one.

No heat .. oil is good and cooalnt also. could it be the thermostat? and where is it located?

The thermostat is located on the lower radiator hose. The best and easy way to do it is remove the headlights, radiator, power steering pulley and bracket and alternator. Once all that is out of the way there are 3 bolts holding the thermostat housing in place remove the 3 bolt and remove the housing and there is your thermostat. Its a fairly easy job once you remove all those items
