Www.fueleconomy.gov list the mileage for your vehicle at 29/19. I don't know what kind of mileage you have been getting, so I have nothing ot compare it to. You could be due for a tuneup, air filter and oil change. Scan the computer for trouble codes that may be stored in the computer and clear the codes. Keep your tires aired up to the max recommend pressure on the tire sidewall. All these things will improve fuel mileage. Great performance and mileage increase. Cold weather can affect fuel mileage as the engine runs richer until it warms up. The gas at the service stations has a lot to do with fuel mileage. Especially when they switch over from summer to winter formula. I got a boost in mileage and performance with a set of E3 spark plugs.

My 2002 Monte Carlo LS V6 will not start. Fuel was slightly leaking from the regulator but nothing major. Car has gas, all fuses are good, battery is good, starter is good, and is getting spark. I think...

If the regulator was leaking, the diaphragm may have come apart and may be allowing all fuel to return without building pressure in the rail. Replace the regulator!

I have a 96 grand prix se 96 3100 Sfi V6 when i start the car it dies on rare occansions and id like to know why / and if it is safe to put fuel injector cleaner in my car to see if it helps the issue

The cleaner will not hurt anything. Your motor will just burn it up like fuel. I use the STP (red bottle) because it says on the bottle that it gets rid of condensation in the fuel tank. Condensation (water) does form and collects in the bottom of the gas tank. I use the fuel treatment 3 or 4 times a year and I think it really works. I have a 2001 Monte Carlo that I bought new and it has 177000 miles and it gets 34.5 mpg highway.I have been useing the fuel treatment from the beginning. It has the 3400 V-6.Its basically the same engine you have.
Also you must install a new fuel filter every 30000 miles. The tanks at the gas stations are filthy.
Also check the condition of your air filter and replace at 20000 max.
Transmission filter and oil at each 50-60000 miles.
I hope this info helps you.
