I'm having the same thing happening with mine right now and from what I have read I'm going to try to take the POS connection off the battery for about 30 mins and possibly try pulling the security fuse under the hood on driver side . I've been using my key to open the door for months after the fob broke n all of a sudden the key won't turn in the doors. The key does however work on the truck hatch, so needless to say I've looked like a complete schmuck climbing in that way at the gas station after the car locked itself. That was fun! However mine will still start, maybe try turning the steering wheel while trying to turn the key and make sure it's in park. You can try what I suggested for the locks tho. I think we. Both need to get new fobs and go get them programed at a dealership or shop... Sigh... But I'm gunna try this first to see if I cant disable the damn security feature thing. Idk why it just all of a sudden started doing this now.... ????

What are the locations of the Remote Control Door Lock Receivers RCDLR in a 2015 Malibu?

According to GM there are 3 components in the RCDLR or RKE remote keyless entry system. My key fobs with new batteries only work standing right next to the car. The range of the key fob dropped at that the same time my TPMS tire pressure monitoring system repair warning came on my dashboard. The problem is that there are 4 different components on the 2015 Malibu. I will provide the GM part numbers for these, if you please tell me where they are and also how to replace them: #13583559 Remote Control Door Lock Receiver #13502554 Antenna #13502551 Ignition Lock Key Transmitter Antenna #13502549 Low Frequency Console Antenna

NO FOBS DETECTED
Refer to Keyless Entry System Description and Operation

Keyless Entry System Description and Operation - Passive
Passive keyless entry allows entry to a locked vehicle without pressing any buttons on the keyless entry transmitter. You must only have the transmitter with you. This passive system is also part of the vehicle starting system. It allows you to start and run the vehicle having only the transmitter as your key. The passive entry and starting system use low frequency antennas in 4 different areas on the vehicle to determine the location of the transmitter. When passively opening a locked door or the rear compartment lid, you must have a programmed transmitter with you in your pocket, purse, or briefcase. As a customer opens the door handle or presses rear compartment touch pad, the low frequency antenna sends out a challenge to the keyless entry transmitter. The transmitter must be in a one meter range of the door or rear compartment lid in order to receive the challenge. If the challenge is met, the transmitter will respond, allowing the door to be unlocked and opened. Passive entry allows you to operate the following features:
• Passive door unlock/unlatch
• Passive rear compartment lid release
• Illuminated entry lamps
• Vehicle starting
The keyless entry system has the following components:
• Keyless entry transmitters
• LH and RH door antennas (part of the door handle assembly)
• Rear compartment antenna
• Console passive antenna
• Console active antenna
• Instrument Panel Module (IPM)
• Rear Integration Module (RIM)
• Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR)
• External RF Antenna (includes coax from RCDLR to back glass)

Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR)
The RCDLR is a multi-function module which controls all the vehicles antennas for passive keyless entry functions. The RCDLR also acts as the receiver for active keyless entry and tire pressure monitoring (TPM) functions, as well as controlling all immobilizer functions.
The RCDLR's RF antenna is located in the back glass, and there is a coax cable connecting the glass antenna to the module located in the trunk.

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that has the factory Tech 2 scan tool or someother professional type scanner that can read • Rear Integration Module (RIM) DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes .

    1996 tl keyless entry

Do you have a keyless entry FOB. If you do replace the battery then program the system. Unlock the doors turn the ignition key to the "ON" position then press either the lock or unlock button of the FOB turn the ignition key off.Now turn the ignition key on again and press either button on the FOB. Turn the ignition off again. Do this 3 times. This initiates programming for the power door locks. Press the lock button of each remote one at a time to be stored in memory. this must be done within 10 seconds of each remote.
3 remotes max. Turn the ignition off and remove the key to complete programming procedure. then test each remote.

    Car will not unlock.

To get inside the car .... Use the key in the lock cylinder, unlock the drivers door to get inside. You shouldn't have to reprogram the fob unless it or the keyless module was changed. There may be a blown fuse that supplies the keyless control module (check the owners manual for location). or wires that lead into the Drivers door may be damaged ... The keyless module is located inside the drivers door at the bottom behind the door panel ... do the unlock/lock and trunk release switches on the inside of the drivers door operate the locks and or trunk release? If so it is not the fuse ... and not the wires to it ... And it could be your BCM body control module, located in the dash board to right of your gas petal. Because the number entry keypad (code for that is on the inside of the right passenger trunk bracket arm) also doesn't work I assume it's not the key fobs themselves. Your 98 manual is correct for your car.

    Central locking wont stay open

Here's what I suspect is happening. The door locks will lock and unlock normally when the key is OUT of the ignition. If the key is IN the ignition, the doors cannot be locked (manually, key fob, or otherwise, if the system is operating as designed - prevents the doors being locked when the key is in the ignition). I've seen this problem before, but on a Santa Fe, not an Accent. The ground signal of the right hand front passenger door was lost, and the doors automatically locked. Perhaps something similar is happening in the circuit between the ETACS module and the right front passenger door lock/unlock actuator. Could be anywhere in the circuit.

    d05b136.gif
ab4c712.gif These wiring diagrams may be helpful. The relays expecially may help solve this issue. As you can see, these relays are also controled by the ETACS module (Remote Keyless Entry).

Keyless entry stopped working on 05 cobalt now i have to unlock door with the key and when i do that the alarm goes off. Help

Lock all the doors from the inside (with all the doors closed), unlock your driver's door by manually lifting the lock, then press it back down after you are out - this will prevent the alarm from sounding when you use the key to unlock the door.
