I have a Honda CRV 2009 model.The plastic part of the key has broken from the metal part.I have taped them together and the key still works.Honda will not replace it under warranty even though the car has only done 8000 miles.Would you please Quote me for a new key or whatever you think is necessary.

you have a bad door switch usually located in the door jam if you are sitting in the seat and your door is open look for something that looks like a small button about the size of a pencil eraser it is possible the plunger is broken off so all you may see is a metal object with a hole, replace this if plunger is broken
