How do i fix my cd player

How to Fix a Car CD Player

Simple Troubleshooting

Before you decide to open up the player and attempt more invasive repairs, try some of these more basic troubleshooting tips to figure out how to fix a car CD player:
  • Is the problem related to the volume or quality of the sound? This could be related to the speakers and not the main unit of your audio system. Take the time to remove the covers from the speakers in your car and make sure there's no trapped dirt or damage. Also check the electrical connections on the back to make sure they are still firm and make a good connection.
  • If the speakers look fine, another issue that could affect sound is the quality of the connections behind the head unit of your system. You'll need to open the dash to access the unit (see your owner's manual or an auto repair manual for your car). Make sure all channel (speaker) connections are solid and make good contact.
  • When you insert a disc, is the CD display blank? While it sounds simple, one of the most common mistakes people make is inserting a CD upside down. This will cause the player to act as though it isn't working.
  • Is the music skipping or stopping completely? This is commonly caused by dirty or damaged tracks on the disc. Before assuming that the problem is with the player, test a few newer CDs and see if the skipping behavior continues. If it doesn't, the the problem is the disc and you'll need to look into cleaning or repairing the disc so that it can play normally again.

I have a cd stuck in the radio & it won't eject it (states no cd), makes a clcking sound. how to fix it?

Usually there is a hole in close to the cd slot, where a pin can be inserted in order to push out a cd manually or a similar manual override.
Which CD player/ radio are you using?

Is there a fuse or someting for the CD plyer or radio? My CD player wont work.

there is a fuse in fuse box that powers radio...sounds like a problem with radio itself....if fuse was bad it simply would do nothing"no power at all.

I am needing to know how to fix mu 2004 chevy malibu cd player i cant get the cd to come out that is currently in it. when i try to eject the cd it makes a skipping noise and it wont come out. the cd...

This works for sure...

Things you'll need:
1. Old plastic card (an old credit card should do just fine I used a grocery discount card)
2. Timing

Start:
1. Hold the small side of the card like you're going to put it in a bank machine slot (not the sliding type)

2. Push the eject button

3. Immediately insert the card on the left side of the CD slot.. you may have to insert it rather far as it seems there's a switch in there. By my estimation, it feels like the card is ABOVE the disc.... try sliding in/out/left/right (sounds vulgar I know...but this works every time)

There is a point whereby if you don't get the CD to eject, it will display an error... watch your timing and how you move the card and try again....I swear this works.

Cd not ajection

Welcome to the world of gm delco radios. I am a used car dealer in Canada and I deal mostly in trucks and suv's. Honestly I'd say 75% of the radios in Gm's don't work properly, the loading mechanism gets jammed when you try to eject and "check CD" appears. Unfortunately it's not the CD, and to save yourself any further heartbreak, rip the player out and get yourself a good quality Kenwood or the likes.

Cd player not functioning properly. when cd is inserted there is a clicking noise and then a coed appeares (e 2).Help!!

the clicking noise is most likely the laser trying to focus on the disk, make sure the cd is clean and if thats not the case clean the cdrom player with a cd player cleaner
