I own a 93 Acura Vigor GS and its having a problem after the check engine light comes on. Once the light comes on and I try to accelerate it starts losing power even some backfiring. If I slowly but gradually accelerate there is no loss of power. I was told it was the IAC sensor if this is the most probable cause would just cleaning be the best solution or should I get a new one?

Check for brake fluids and make sure all the brake fluid container is closed tightly. Also, you make have to bleed the brakes.

The front brake rotors are press fitted to the front wheel bearings and are removed from the car with a special tool (puller) or can be seperated by removing the whole assembly and placing it in a press to seperate them. You may damage the bearing if not done right.

Remove the radio and write down the SERIAL NUMBER and MODEL NUMBER. Go to your nearest Acura dealer with those numbers.

You need to check the heater hoses in and out of the heater core to see if they are both hot,if not get the heater core flushed.Also check the valve in the heater that changes from hot to cold and make sure it moves.
