We just purchased a 2004 Yukon denali and the DVD player quit working. It worked for a few hours and then stopped. It says "Disc format error". We bought a cleaner and thought that would help but didn't. Any advice?

Go to walmart or radioshack and buy a cleaning disc. If that dont work the lazer may be misaligned.

It's either a non compatible format or the slightest smudge on a disk or disk player will cause an error.....

Check for blown head gasket or blocked radiator,thermostat etc.

All you have to do to remove the disc and press the MENU button on the right side of the touch screen and choose the NAV option to change the search area/database. One of the choices is to eject the disc. Good Luck.

drive the auto for 1 hour then take it to the dealer and have them check it out do not turn off the vehicle when you arrive leave someone in side until they can service you sittuation

GM has an issue with dash clusters since 2002 and the company will not admit to it. We pay $250 each time to swap out the clusters. Let me know what city you are in and I will find you a company locally that replaces clusters.

I have run into this trouble before.

Here's my suggestion,
Take it in to your GM Dealer, there maybe a couple of options depending on what has been done so far.

If They can not get the disc out & depending on the DVD/Cd player-NAV's part no. The Dealer may be able to Update the Software allowing the disc to be ejected properly.

Or the player will need to be pulled out and sent to an autherize repair center.

I shipped my 2006 Yukon Denali from USA to Saudi Arabia. When I to purchase the Middle East map DVD for the navigation system. GM Navigation answered me that they do not have the middle east DVD and I should contact the European branch. The dealer in Saudi Arabia is asking for $1200 for the disc and I know it is worth no more than $400. Could you please direct me to someone who sells the 06 Denali navigation map DVD? Thanks..

you may have a different region on you dvd to your dvd player. say your dvd player was 1st region you can only play 1st region dvds if you try a 2nd or 3rd region dvd it would not work. you can go to a dvd specialist to get it tuned to a multiregion dvd player.
go to a dvd player shop and ask if they know how to tune it.
