Abs problem I have a 2007 Camry Hybrid in EU where these modell has no warranty. The problem:The ABS System not works but the ABS control lamp not light .When i press the brake pedal the wheels are blocking. The Toyota OBD computer not shown any problem but with a Carman Computer we have seen a problem code: "low pressure in accumulator" A guy from a toyota service said i must change the "actuator assembly" but it coasts 3.500.-US! Have somebody an idee, what shall i do?

You need a mechanic with a high level scan tool to check the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and Live Data. It is probably ABS Sensor related, but should never leave you with no brakes..

You need to have the systems scanned for fault codes, that is the VERY 1st step in the repair process.

The abs is part of the safety system in that it stops the wheels from locking up under heavy braking. This allows you to steer the vehicle out of a bad situation. During normal braking the ABS does not work as the wheels are turning and so there is no requirement for the system to work
If you wish to continue driving and are considerate in that you drive responsibly there is no need to race it to replace the system. I would seek a second opinion from an accredited brake specialist shop as the dealer may only want to sell parts and not repair the unit

Why would you do that?

You need ALL Data (codes) to diagnose the
Systems Problem & make the repairs

If it has no problems, the dash MIL Lamp will go
out, when the system runs the ABS Braking Check
at 16 to 22 plus mph

the brake light is stuck on?

fluid level good?DOT 3/4 brake fluid?
hand brake really off?
if ok that, read the FSM it covers this 100%
or take it to any ASE mechanic.
the newer the car , the more ways to fail.
The ABS may be on , due to brake failure.
fix brake lamp on reason first. may be they are bad.
the brakes,
get the car scanned , to find all errors, i bet there are more.
only a real shop has all the tools to do ABS, and brakes.

Did you ever find a solution? The dealership said it was the Traction Control Unit. Then they said it was the ABS. I haven't let them fix either since I'm not in the market to experiment with over $2000. Did you call the Toyota customer care line? They said if enough people call and report the problem, then they might issue a warranty extention. 800-331-4331

my toyota camry hybrid 2009 is haveing abs problem , it shows break and check vsc system on the dashboard , please help me

I had the same problem with my Buick and my mechanic said I would have to replace my sensors but there is nothing wrong with just shutting the ABS down. You still have all your braking power even if you discontinue the ABS. I did this 4 years ago and still have good braking power. If your brake seizes that is another issue that has nothing to do with the ABS.
