They tell me its for a '88 but this motor used a timing chain insted of a timing belt and the crankshaft at th trans end wont accept my old fly wheel.(trany bolts up perfect)...CAN I USE THI MOTOR ???

You should not use that engine because it does not sound like a compatible 1.6 liter engine, and it should be returned to the salvage yard and they should be made aware that the engine that they sold you is not compatible with your vehicle.

There are 2 different 1.6L engines for this year. If you can find the right flywheel, you'll probably be fine. Other possible issues might be with wiring, but I checked the wiring diagram and it makes no distinction between the 2 engines. Still, I would check the connectors and make sure all the electric work will fit. Hopefully the computer will not object to the engine...

Will a 1988 Toyota 4 runner transmission work in a 1994 4 runner?

A salvage yard could tell you through their interchange database.
I would think the '94 has electronic shift points, doubtful about the '88. Check with an interchanger.

88 Nissan sentra getting 12-15mpg. I'm at a loss

If the car doesn't sound funny or run rough you probably have a bad oxygen sensor. Ask a parts store for a replacement, it will be located on your exhaust pipe near the engine. It is a very simple part to replace, just unscrews like a spark plug and has a wire harness.

1988 F150 w/o a bed

Much easier to get one from a salvage yard. Only has about six main bolts in the bed, four on the sides (support rods), and the filler hoses. Also don't forget to disconnect the plug for the rear lights.

1988 nissan sentra tail lights not working

More than likely it is the combination switch on the steering column. This is a common issue on the older vehicles.
