2004 tahoe out of the blue my remote lock on key chain stopped working(both remotes stopped working) also, at the same time the power windows and locks on the passenger side quit working. I can't roll window down or lock doors with driver side controls. could this be a fuse issue or something else? key fob only works some of the time and when it does, only will lock not unlock. only my front doors will unlock from inside lock button. rear doors and tailgate will not unlock by pressing the lock/unlock buttons. you can hear the locks but will not unlock.

A common issue with the later 90's chevy was an ignition tumbler going bad. So, where you put your key in to start the vehicle--this part needs replaced. One I seen actually stuck in the starting position and burned up the starter before power could be shut off to the vehicle. Lock/Unlock buttons on the door? Try disassembly of switch and cleaning the contacts with electronic parts cleaner, dry and re-assemble. Be sure to use cleaner that is safe for plastics.

Try the Driver Door Module fuse 15A

this alarm works with the remote and the key, if you lock with the key it arms if you lock with remote it arms,when you unlock it it should disarm, if your having a problem with it not working try the pass/side lock with key, that should shut it down but if it keeps rearming without locking doors then it may be aftermarket, also in your manualy it will show you that some factory alarms are also self arming this is programed through the cluster, using the buttons on the dash, you scroll through the options and shut off auto arming, this is done the same way you scroll for mileage or trip time or oil change life. hope this helps.

more than likely the lock solenoid in the driver side door is not working. it located near the latch inside the door.

Check your remote for two things. First the battery and then the contacts on the press pads. You may have a broken circuit-board inside the remote. Back door may have power lock motor problems.

check fuse for low beam, then possibly both low beam globes. they could have blown.
the key remote may need reprograming into system try put key in ignition in on position then press remote buttons a couple of times then try if no good need to go to dealer to be programed into system again or it needs repairing/replacing.

you will have to write your vehicles vin number down wich is if you look throught the windshild on the drivers side you will see it its a little plate with numbers but right down the vin number and take you drivers license and Registration with you to the chevy dealer ship and request the remote for that vehicle. and they should be able to get you one. as far as i know the remote is the only way to get the alarm off.
