I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent and my clutch fluid is empty. When refilling, how do I bleed it and where would the most possible place for a leak be located?

does it go to floor --if hydraulic check fluid level possible leak air in system--blown line-- burnt up clutch -bad slave --regular clutch --spring --throw out bearing --broken fork --blown clutch

The clutch hydraulic system is very simple, just 3 pieces. There is the clutch master cylinder with attached fluid reservoir-mounted on the firewall, there is a steel line from the master going down to the transaxle bell housing, and there is the clutch slave cylinder on the bell housing that the steel line connects to.
If yours is leaking under the car, it is probably the slave cylinder, either that or the steel line. Either one should be easy to replace.

seems a bit early for clutch. how many k's? I would start by checking the intake tube for splits & security & airflow sensor. they will cause the engine to rev but no response (like a slipping clutch) so its manual right?

You have a bad part, the slave, the line, the master, one of them has sprung a leak and must be fixed before you put fluid in and bleed it.
Generally you can find a big stain where the leak is, and on some cars you buy the whole system as a unit, pre-bled.

good possibility you have a faulty clutch slave cylinder thats leaking,you may wanna have a repair shop take a look at it to verify where the leak is

Yes that is correct. it should say what type right on the lid. example dot 3 or dot 4.

Have noticed a leak in the area of your slave cyl? You you have a new one will fix the problem. just install it add fluid, bleed it, ( add fluid reinstall the cover, have someone help or just take the bleed screw loose let the new fluid drain thru. get in and pump the pedal ck the fluid in the res. add fluid. keep this back and forth till you feel a good pedal. done. Work slow, be careful.

hi considering age of car and that you have no leaks on hydraulics? may i suggest you try bleeding the clutch to rid of old fluid a couple of pumps may be suffice ? b/fluid does absorb moisture and heat over time hence recommendation tat fluid be changed at period specified in handbooks ie 12 monthly ?

hi the clutch on accent is hydraulic operation so if pedal is very low on disengaging clutch ? you may have a problem with the hydraulics 1st thing to check is fluid level? this is the reservoir that feeds both brakes and clutch but is seperaterated inside if fluid low? top up and bleed the slave cyl however if fluid low indicates a leak ? possibly slave cyl? if no loss of fluid ? then prob may be fault in the master cyl ? check fluid come back with any update please ps if this problem has just occured? check for leaks ?
