Try the basic things like gas, check for leaks (oil bad, transmission fluid bad), if it clicks could be the starter, but we need more info

If he ran it hard enough to shut down the motor he may have colapes rings. start with a compression test.

Location 2002 kia sportage blower motor resistor

Sorry I can't say precisely where it is. Blower motor resistors get hot and so they are usually positioned close to the motor and placed where they receive a strong flow of cooling air. Sometimes they are made easily accessible and sometimes quite a bit of dismantling is needed and sometimes contortions are needed when the resistor is buried under the dash.

2002 kia sportage overheated and now will not start

Well the alternator would have nothing to do with the overheating! If the alt went bad, you'd be having electrical issues, not cooling issues. Why would you change an Alternator if it was overheating? Was somthing else happening at the time to make you think you had a electrical issue?

The thermostat could be stuck closed or the water pump failed, both common issue, sound like somthing is causing the engine to either run hot, or not cool properly.

Once the engine has overheated sadly the damage is done, you could have simply cooked a sensor,or it could be as bad as you could have warped the block or head, or one of a number of other things!

Hot engines are hard to start, you should let them compleatly cool down first! In fact you should have either checked the car out or had someone check it out before attempting to start or drive it again, this is why god created tow trucks! A $50 towing charge or a $5000 engine repair bill, I know which one I would choose!

Did the check engine light come on? Any other symptoms?

2002 kia sportage overheated now it will not start motor acts like it is not getting spark

This is a long shot, but try disconnecting the battery for about a half hour then reconnect.
This will reset the computer which may have disabled the car.
I am not aware that this model has a shut off switch like some cars.
So, just my 2 cents.

On the kia 2002 sportage i spent 15 Litres of fuel for 100KM is that normal?and can you tell me the normal Litres of gas foor 100KM on the kia 2002 sportage

That fuel consumption is a bit heavy, but not excessive, depending on the driving conditions. In heavy traffic and slow town driving with a lot of stop starts it would be acceptable but on the open road in 2 wheel mode it would be excessive. Kia do not seem to manage much better than about 8-10 l/100km, even on their sedans.

if your vehicle has electric fans they may not be working you need to check that they are working let the motor idle until it starts to overheat & see if the fans are working ,if not check for blown fuse,or loose wiring connections,it could also be the temperature sensor that activates the fans,it may be faulty......hope this helps.....sherrs

My 2006 Kia sportage blower motor quit. 40 amp fuse is OK. Thoughts on what else this can be?

Locate the motor, check if it is getting voltage when you turn it on, by probing the connectors. Another possiblity besides the motor is the motor control which control its speed. Newer cars usually have an electronic package located by the motor housing. It has a thermal fuse, that sometimes look like a resistor, that blows. and it looks like part of the circuit. Soldering tool is required to replace that. You can also check the motor by hot wiring it, but make sure it is disconnected, and isolated before performing the test. Otherwise you could fry up some electronic device.

2002 kia sportage stopped and would not restart while driving

If it wont turn over and all that happens is the starter makes noise, it could be an alternator issue. If your alternator is bad, then you battery wont recharge and eventually it wont have enough power to restart the engine.
