You have bought as pig in a poke ,yes 3 clicks is right on handbrake ,but its easy to do just remove the rear drums and adjust brakes manually, half hours work thats all ,but it would still pass mot because its on the rolling road brake tester and both rear brakes were within 25%,But as for it breaking down i cannot say without my dirty oil encrusted fingers playing with its vitals .but if your passing alicante spain i will have a look for you

Need to know torque nut setting Peugeot 306 hatch 96

The torque setting for the nuts on a 1996 Peugeot 306 hatchback will depend on the size of the nuts and the type of bolts they are used with. Here are the recommended torque settings for some of the more common fasteners on the Peugeot 306:
  • Wheel nuts: 80-90 Nm
  • Engine oil drain plug: 25-30 Nm
  • Engine oil filter housing: 25-30 Nm
  • Engine oil cooler hose banjo bolts: 25-30 Nm
  • Engine oil pump mounting bolts: 25-30 Nm
These torque values are for general reference only and may vary depending on the specific model of the Peugeot 306 and the condition of the fasteners. It is always best to refer to the manufacturer's recommendations for the correct torque settings.

S reg peugeot 306 1.9 gearbox??

It may be the clutch thrust bearing drying up.
Causing it to start seizeing.
The easiest solution is to change the whole clutch, or get it changed in a garage as you do need some specialist tools and knowledge.
Check the fan belt as the can make the same screech when worn or loose.

Peueot 306 stalls for no reason

If it only stalls when you stop check the hose to the brake booster. They can crack and leak or it could be the booster itself.

Peugeot expert van

A clogged, overheated catalyst can do this, it sends a signal to the computer and lowers performance plus increases the gas usage.
