A part called an Inertia sensor may have shut off power to your fuelpump. Check your owners manual for the location of this switch. It may be on the side of the trunk beneath the carpet or under a kickpanel by your feet. The part has a button which needs to be pushed to reset it. Hold the button for 2-3 seconds and you should be good.

The Inertia switch is a Fire safety switch for collisions and sometimes trips with a door slamming. If unsuccessful with starting listen for the fuelpump when you turn the Ignition key. If still no noise, then check your fuses or contact Autozone or Oreillys about a fuelpump relay or fuse.

Other component problems usually register in your onboard computer. You should see the "check engine" light on the dash. This would point to a problem other than the Inertia switch which does not give a warning.

I repaced the spark plugs on a 1993 mercury capri 4 cylinder i turns over but will not start

check the firing order of the plug leads as they may have become crossed during the plug change. Check that the coil wire is firmly in the distributer cap.

1993 capri right retractable light will not come up

Bad motor or dirty motor contacts is the usual issue. Remove the motor and take 3 screws out to take the motor apart. Clean the round copper area until it shines, then reassemble. Make sure the crank that attaches the motor to the headlight is in the same position, or your up and down positions will be wrong...good luck...Chris

Have a 1993 Mercury Capri(1.6L, automatic). Car will not start because there is no spark. Would appreciate suggestions on how to resolve problem. Thanks,

Highest probability is a bad igniter in the distributor. Replace the igniter controller mounted outside the distributor at the same time...good luck...
