99 dodge durango. My horn keeps blowing the 20 amp fuse under hood. There is also a horn relay. Could that be the problem? The horn will work after I replace the 20 amp, but blows within a few times of blowing the horn. just getting info before I go through the hassle of getting someone to change horn and wiring

Disconnect the horn and put a test light across it instead.
Then with a good fuse, blow the horn about 50 times.
If the fuse does not blow, and the light comes on, then you know it is the horn itself that was blowing fuses.

Could be you might check it out. many items take the same relay so you might try exchanging it with another one with the same numbers. If that isn't it you may have a short in the horn itself.

SOURCE: 20 amp fuse in the box under hood that keeps blowing

Does it only do this when the heat or A/c is on full blast.. ( I had a few of my customers with this problem and they needed a new blower motor..)

SOURCE: 20 amp ignition fuse keeps blowing

I'm curious, does this vehicle have an alarm/remote starter? If so I expect the installer didn't wire it correctly ... it was an all too frequent issue, with inexperienced installers we had .... I would first suspect any add-on device first (if any) ... In answer to your question ... I know it does have a relay (Starter solenoid is a relay and built onto the starter) As far as it being a relay or the IGN switch ... I'm skeptical.

Check the headlight relay under the hood in the fuse box. They will stick when they get old. The diagram in the fuse box lid will tell you which relay is the horn, headlights, etc.

My battery keeps draining down at night it's a 99 dodge durango

you have something draining the battery, check for any lights that might be staying on,interior light, stop light under the hood light(if any),glove box light trunk light, if you have a multimeter with amp testing capability or an amp meter you can check where the drain is by removing each fuse & put the probes on each side the terminals until you find a drainage, that way you might be able to find out what is draining the power & rectify it......hope this helps......cheers

Running lights are out dashboard lights are out horn does not blow

check your fuses inside the fuse compartment both inside the truck and under the hood. you could have blown either a fuse or a relay.

Horn fuse keeps blowing out

Check the wiring around the horn and make sure nothing is touching metal...look under the hood at the horn and make sure everything is pluged in and there is no water on any plugs or wiring...Make sure the fuse is the correct number (ex: 10, 20, 25) If it is still blowing out the fuse then you after you do some checking then it is a short in some wires
