Code 140 is for a problem with the O2 sensor bank one sensor two. This sensor is behind the catalytic converter and tells the computer if the cat is working or not. The code means the sensor voltage has not changed as often as it should. Could be a faulty sensor, wiring harness problem, or other issue. The sensor would need to be tested using a scanner.
Take it over to a Auto Zone store they advertize that they will read the diagnostic cods for free. with the check engine light on there are codes logged in the cpu. the codes will point you in the direction to go. this will save you lots of time.
Take the Voyager by Autozone or Advance Auto and ask them to check the fault codes for free. This may tell you what is wrong. It sounds like you have some sensors or EFI problem.
