CD Player Not Recognized after battery replacement

Just replaced the battery in an 05 durango limited. CD player worked fine before the battery replacement. CD player won't even come on after battery replacement. Radio works fine. DVD system works fine. Mode button does not even recognize the CD player. Eject button wont work. Can I "reboot" the cd player some how. This is the 6 disc in dash system.

Pull clock, radio, cd player, memory and backup cam (if equiped) to reset system. Some systems need to be recoded, not for sure about that system.

I take it the cartridge will not eject
If so press and HOLD eject button insert credit card or similar under cartridge push firmly in and move left/right
This locates micro release switch
Make sure nobody has inserted discs upside down

SOURCE: cd player quit working after i changed the battery radio still works fine.

kzingraff, I have a similar situation to Craig Waldie. I have a 2005 Durango and the CD player has not worked since I replaced the battery. Just like his 2004, the radio works perfectly, just not able to use the CD player. How can this issue be fixed?

CD Player Quit Working

the only thing i can sagest is that you leave the battery disconnected over night this may reset the cd player and it may Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Recognise that it has cds in it
the only other thing i can think of is that when it says enter single disk only that you do so to a point don't let it go all the way in
this may make the cd player think there is a disk in there
hope this helps

Cd player keeps reading error on every cd what can i do to fix it? Can i unplug the battery to rest it?

Most chrysler vehicles don't like burned CD's. If every CD reads error then the unit will need to be replaced.
