My manual (Chilton) says to remove the front starter support bracket and heat shield, loosen the starter bolts and lower the front end of the starter first. It comes out the front not the traditional back way. Hope this helps.
Pretty straight forward. Disconnect the negative cable and then the positive cable from the battery. Then use a 3/8 rachet and remove the serp belt with the tensioner. Then remove the bolts that hold the alternator. Move out of the way a little. Remove the cable. Then disconnect the plug. Then install in reverse order.
There's are two stickers on the top of the radiator. There is one at the filler cap that shows the pulley and belt arrangement and the other one shows the routing of the emission hoses with charcoal canister.
