I had to have a transmission replaced in my 1999 Accord. Since then, my radio is not working. I bought the car from someone else, and the instruction manual was not included. How can I reset the radio?
Look around for a small label with a 5 digit number on it. Look inside the glove box and console. You will need the 5 digit code to unlock the radio. To get the code you will need the serial # of the radio. In order to get the serial # it is necessary that you remove the radio from the dash or at least remove enough of the dash so you can see the serial #. The serial # is located on top of the radio chassis. Numbers that start with M1C, M3G, M46, & YEFM are not the serial #. Look for another number on the chassis. Now with the serial # and the VIN number off the car go to the Honda Owners Link and register your Honda. You will be able to get the code there for free, but you must have the VIN and Serial #.
