How to replace ac compressor on suzuki 2002 grand vitara do you have to remove the drive belt?

Yes you have to remove the drive belt ,best advice is to take the vehicle to a AC specialist who will the compressor output with a special machone as it may not be the compressor ,the compressor should push out about 200lbs at 1500rpm

How would I go about changing the 2 accessory drive belts on a 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara with the 2.5l. V6?

2.5L just like mine.
its in the FSM and at alldata.com
and at suzukipitstop plus dot com.

see the top slider bolt on top of alt.
that be the adjustment for belt tension,

the alit is 3 point mounted, and needs the base bolts loose to it Can PIVOT. if not you have to gorilla the ALT and mess things up.
i got me a gator belt on mine.

Timing belt

what engine, there are many. what country ,same.
some have a chain. no belt.
the belt change is complex,
login to alldata , its all there. or mitchells.
or go to pub. lib and see esources , under car repair
free factory service manuals there on that screen there.
i can log in to my lib and see them now. can you?

High pitch whining sound from engine

Check the power steering fluid if its low it could cause this. Also could be alternator, water pump, ac compressor, or idler pulley. My bet would be on the idler pulley, its the one that keeps the belt tension constant. Remove the belt and check this pulley for slack also spin it by hand.

first go to local chapters book store buy 1 chilton manual for your truck it comes with prety pics and every thing just incase chit happens
like you need to replace inner belt but must remove outer belt like in a bmw tthe book is 20 -30 bucks and a god send when it comes to your car and the book covers every thing from oil to exhaust pipes brakes and stearing it's a complete tear down of your truck with pictures

Brakes squeal on startup of 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara

if u are not moving in drive "D" the brake rotor is not moving/turning, brakes are just on.
what u might be hearing is the serpentine drive belt squealing at start up. replace this belt asap.
