The back bottom backside bottom i shpuld say google year make model and liter size a sensor location diagram it will show you diagram of all sensors and locations
up to 1994 Previa's the cam sensors are located in the distributor, there is one for each cam. labeled G1 & G2 which are the center 2 of the 4 wires to the distributor, if you want to test them first. Also, top wire is crank sensor, bottom is ground.
I believe you will have to replace the whole distributor.
Ika, has it started back? If not, it may be a timing belt/chain broke. If it cranks, it may be a fuel pump, filter, pinched gas lines, or bad fuel injectors. It may be a problem in the ignitions. Spark plugs, coils, wires, distributor, coil pack, dist.cap, If it is not cranking, check ignition fuse. Check battery, wires, and whole charging system. If it is just dying on you and it starts back, it may be a map sensor, idle sensor or throttle sensor possibly. Need a little more info please.
The temperature gauge sensor is what you need to replace. It is also a good idea to replace the thermostat, but is not necessary.
The sensor is usually located on the top of the engine on the driver side. It will (should) have a single wire coming out of the top of it.
Locate (purchase) a repair manual or ask a parts dealer representative to help locate it's exact location.
