I have a 92 BMW 325i that keeps blowing spark plugs out of the cylinder head which was just replaced last year, why is this happening

Yikes! Bad problem indeed. Are you using a torque wrench to install plugs correctly? Has engine been modified? Was this happening with prior head? Once a plug has been blown out head threads should be inspected very carefully for damage. Are you using anti-seize on plugs? Are you careful to only remove plugs when engine is dead cold (off overnight)?

Cylinder head torque settings bmw 318i m43

Hi dear40,

The m43 engine should be similar to both the m42 and m44. The cylinder head torque settings are 22ft/lb and 90degree torque angle, and another 90 degree torque angle. Make sure to wait approximately 10minutes before performing the 2nd torque angle.

How hard is it to change a cambelt on a bmw 320i e30?

You said E30, 320i correct? Your engine is a 2.0L 4 Cylinder engine? If so it does not have a timing belt, it has a chain, upper and lower gears and two chain slides. To change the timing chain and slide set is not easy if you have never done one, neither is the belt on the 6 cylinder engines. I recommend a reputable BMW shop.

Hello There

The engine in an E30 325i is not the same as the E36 328i. the 325 has a 2.5 litre engine and the 328is has a 2.8 litre engine. They are from a diffrent era. The engine in the 328i Has the engine code M52 and conpletely redesigned.

Hope this helps. Pleas don't forget to rate me.

Hi I'm looking for cylinder head torque settings for a 1992 BMW 316/318 e36

BMW cylinder torque setting all models

According to my service manual as follows.

Cyl head to engine block (torx e12 M10 bolts)

Stage 1 30nm (22 ft – lb)
Stage 2 + 90 degrees
Stage 3 + 90 degrees

Cyl head to lower timing chain cover 10nm (89in – lb)

The tightening sequence is from inside to outside crossover as normal. Loosening sequence is from outside to inside crossover. Remember to set torque wrench at low setting and work gradually up through the whole sequence until you get the desired torque.
