Check the spark, remove the fuse to the fuel pump and remove one of the spark plugs. Connect the plug to its lead and position it well away from the engine against the truck frame (do not hold it) and turn the engine over, check the spark. If no spark it most probably a faulty coil. Check the impedance of the spark plug leads and replace any that are much higher than the rest. My guess is that you have spark but no fuel, What?... OK this is what I think is wrong. Your pump is fine when at position 2 on the ignition switch however when you switch to position three to fire the engine the power to the fuel pump is momentarily disconnected. A leaking fuel pressure regulator or injector would drop the pressure in the fuel line and at the same time flood the engine making it impossible to start. Once you start the engine with ether the ignition is back to position 2 and the pump can make good any loss in pressure but because the intake mix is rich this will cause the engine to run rich too. A good fuel system is capable of delivering 40 - 50PSI of fuel pressure and when switched off up to 90% of this pressure should be maintained for about 5 minutes, if it cannot check out the fuel pressure regulator and injectors. The fuel pipe should be capable of filling a pint pot in about 15 seconds, if it cannot check out the fuel filter is clogged.
Hope the above gives you some pointers

Replaced bad coil van cranks but wont start?

Sure the new coil is working? Did you check for spark? Is the fuel pump working? Fuel injectors? ECM?

Car cranks but wont start? No spark. Changed ecm relay no help. Ignition harness is good. No fault codes. Battery is good. changed ignition relay, no help. I think its the ECM but need more info to spend...

Yes, the ECM is the last thing to replace after all other possibilities. No spark could be bad ignition coil, bad Ignition Control Module (controls the coil circuits for spark), bad plug wires, the crank and cam sensors (for ECM to determine spark timing).

Check the ICM -it can be tested at a parts store. If good, check the crank sensor.

1991 mitsibushi mini mac has no spark at spark plugs won't start.

spark is controlled by the cam/crank position sensors and the engine immobiliser . Check that the cam shaft is turning( broken belt/chain). Check that the immobiliser is operational. run fault codes to check for other faults that will stop spark--like faulty ignition module or coil/s.

It turns but it wont start,it has gas and power

Pull off the coil ignition cable at the distributor and check for spark coming out of coil when cranking engine over. Use a heavy rag or glove to hold the wire 1/4 inch from a metal ground. Should see a strong blue spark when cranking to verify ignition is good. If no spark, check for battery voltage to coil on the coil primary. If you have current to the coil, suspect a bad coil, ignition module, crank position sensor, or cam position sensor, or pcm. The coil, ignition module, and sensors can be tested before replacing.

Car stalled at30mph and wont start back up

  • Cranks but no start condition-do below to determine whether it's fuel or spark issue:
  • Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.
make sure it is getting enough gas pressure

Replaced coils and car started. Then it just stops and wont start again

Check for spark, if no spark, check to see if you have rpm signal. if no signal that look at the crank sensor. crank sensor will give you a no spark, so will an ignition control module, the crank sensor is by the crank pulley, the control module is under your coils.

I think my crank sensor or something is gone. engine wont fire, no spark coming from coil pack. new coilpack. How do I resolve?

May be I can help.Be sure to check all fuses, really good, before replacing parts.I can`t tell you how to check for problem, you have pretty much narrowed it down already, but replace the crank sensor first(least expensive) cause it is most likely the problem. Then really all you are left with is cam sensor,or control module. The car will most likely will run,and run good if the cam sensor is bad,but it will not start. If the car stopped running while engine was running, then the cam sensor most likely isn`t the problem, replace the control module.IIf the engine was not running, and you went to start it and it wouldn`t start, try a cam sensor. If I can help any more, let me know>>[email protected]

My s10 will turn over, but wont squirt gas through injecter

Does it crank? Do you have any codes? Check engine light? Do you have spark? No spark check coil, and connections, also it would be nice to know what year it is. Get codes read. No crank check battery and starter. No codes or lights check crank position sensor, make sure your pcm is good after replacing your ignition mod you could have blown it if you did do it right. (engine computer) Check cam sensor if applies. Crank and cam could prevent it from starting and I know one I think cam controls pcm's fuel delivery on gm's
