I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson and the a/c will not

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson and the a/c will not change over to blow out the main vents. It blows from the defrost, main vents and floor all at the same time. I was told it is not a vacuum leak because the new cars have a motor that switches the vent system. Where is this motor located and if this is not the problem could it be the control switch? Thanks

This is right, this uses motors, the selector motor is located on the driverside of the heater/ac box, there are a few of these motors you will need to test them by operating the controls until you spot the one that doesnt move, these motors are on the box one or two on passengerside and one or two more on the driveside, all depending on if you have daul zones or not good luck this can get tricky locating the right one and testing it.

I am having the same problem. What is happening is the door white door that seperates the ac and defroster is controlled by a motor. This is located low behind the ac control counsel. You can see it when it moves by looking underneath by the gas pedal and to the right. You can see it moving when you push the defrost button on and off.
Mine is moving properly when I turn the defrost on. When I turn it off, the white door is not moving all the back to where it should be. I can here a clicking noise as if it is still trying to move. I can move it all the back with my finger.
I do not know what to do from here, but that is what it is.

I have the same issue with my a/c I took it to a mechanic, he reached down underneath the glove compartment where the blower is, he smacked it upwards two times and it started blowing again. Go figure : \

In older vehicles these controls were vacuum controlled. Now most are electrical. My first check would be the accessory fuses

2006 hyundai tucson ac barely blows it is really cold, but doesn't blow hardly at all

The electric motor is probably shot. Does it work when you switch between settings like vent and floor? If one setting works and another doesn't then you have a problem with the dampers in the dash and the dash needs to be removed. If the motor is shot, you can find is location by listening very carefully for any noises when you turn on the ac coming from near the dash board. You can also ask a local auto parts rep to locate it for you, they can also sell you a replacement if you need it.

Hi, I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson. I love my Tucson except for one thing, it keeps blowing headlights. I have never had this issue with any other vehicle. I see that it seems to be a common issue with...

Have your voltage checked. This is usually done with an alternator test at a local autoparts store. If that checks out look closely at the mounts for the headlight and make sure its not loose. Vibration can cause bulbs to blow. Make sure there is no moisture in the lens. Water will cause it to blow.. Lastly when you replace the bulb do not touch the glass. The oil from your skin will cause it to blow early.

it may not be the panel. I would check the refrigerant level as many of these systems use pressure switches. If no or low on refrigerant, then no pressure and system will not run.

Hyundai tucson 2006 start overheating out of

Waterpump, seems like a likley culprit. Your Ac compressor belt runs over your water pump. when the ac is on it puts more load on your engine , your water pump may be defected and not able to handle the extra load.
