2001 dodge Ram 1500, problem with the fuse that runs the dash light / intrumental panel. Every time I put a new fuse on and I turn the head light on the fuse burn off. Why?

When ever a fuse blows,you don't replace it. You have a short to ground,somewhere.
You know the circuit,based on the fuse that blew. So get a wiring diagram,and follow it from the fuse to the cause.

Where is the fuse box on a,98 Dodge RAM 1500

Leonard, interior fuse panel is open drivers door, at the end of dash driver side behind a small interior access panel, under hood fuse/relay center(box) is beside battery on inner fender.

Sounds simple as a fuse. Fuse panel may be under the dash, usually drivers side. Might also be under the hood.

Head lights on my 1997 dodge ram 1500 pickup stay on when i turn off ignition switch. it is not head light switch. pulled out of dash.

under the driver inner fender is where dodge usually put their daytime runnig light moduals find it,unplug it,the lights should be fine.if you don't need it by law everything else will work normally except the high beem light will no longer work.

Tail lights dont work but bake and turn singals do

did you also check the fuses under the hood, there is a 20 amp out there that feeds that circuit.

Make sure that the fuse for the tail lights is not blown out. There may be a separate fuse for both the headlights and tail lights for your car.
