Car is x reg 2000 , driving along and when warm it cuts out
Possible easy solution - - look to the right of the oil cap and see two small hoses (one leading into a quarter shape plastic part then into the larger hose and the other straight into the larger hose) - - - the larger hose sits on a male point near the fire wall and turns 90 degrees as it ascends and the other end of the larger hose goes into the engine near the oil cap (this point normally isnt the problem) it is the other end that unseats and cracks along the plastic parts of the hose along with the small hoses (which also crack) and causes the sputters/jerks/stalls. Carefully inspect these parts/hoses for hair line cracks, rotting etc... and most likely your whoas will end..
Hi if your car runs fine from cold and starts fine when cold, but then if it starts playing up when it gets to near running normal temp then this is a good indication that the oxygen sensor is up the shoot and will need replacing.
the reason it points towards this being the fault is that the oxygen sensor only starts to work when it reaches a certain temp so if your car runs fine when cold but plays up when hot or warm then the chances are getting the oxygen sensor (or lambda sensor for its proper name) changed should then solve your problem.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
