WOnt crank at all when trying to start. I hear the fuel pump kick on and the battery is new

You hear the new fuel pump kick on correct? While someone is cranking can you verify spark?

HAVE YOU CHECKED FOR SPARK?

Does it have spark at the spark plug's ?

Check if you are getting spark .

IF the motor is cranking, is it getting any fuel? When you turn your key on, do you hear the fuel pump kick on? Most cars today are fuel injected, and use an electric fuel pump. With another partner, have them stick their ear on the gas tank as you are turning the car on. You should hear some kind of pump, if not, your fuel pump may be dead.

Usually if the battery is dead, you will hear clicking. If the battery is good then I would check any Starter fuses/relays. If they are good then I would check for power to the starter solenoid. You can find many youtube videos on how to check this.

check all your rounds on the body, behind kick panels, and in engine compartment. The relays you hear clicking are the power relay whcih turns your engine computer on. The other relay is the fuel pump relay, which is turned on by the engine computer. start there, report back.

PS. When you press the gas pedal to the floor during cranking, it shuts off the fuel supply to clear a flooded engine.

Spray some starting fluid into engine intake air duct while crankingengine over. If it tries to start good possiblity fuel pump is bad. (In fuel tank). However if it does not problem lies somewhere other than fuel system

my car wont crank, and I dont hear the fuel pump turn on when its in the on position. I have gotten a new fuel pump but it still dont work when it is in the on position nor crank my car. But you can hear the fuel pump when I try to crank the car but when i stop trying to crank it you hear the fuel pump go off. So if you could help me someone, anyone I would be totally happy :) my car is a (2001 Mitsubishi Galant 4cylinder)

the noise your are hearing is the fuel pump, you might need a new battery by the sounds of it, or your ground is corroted or your connections arent tight and could be causing the power failure,check your battery system over and down to the starter, if its not grounded right it wont start it will just go blank.
