1129- map sensor and 0505 its your idle control, but the 1129 may be the cause of the 0505. I would say that you have a bad bad map-manifold absolute pressure sensor. Good luck and contact if you need more help. thanks for using FIX YA

My Honda Odyssey 1999 auto zone has been check the engine it came with a code of P1676 what it that mean?

Got DTC P1676 or TCS DTC
31? Replace the Ignition
Switch
NOTE: This article applies to '00-02 Accord V6s
and '99-02 Odysseys.
Got a vehicle in your shop with DTC P1676
(FPTDR signal line failure) or TCS DTC 31 (engine
retard command [PFINH] signal)? A bad ignition
switch (the electrical half) could be the culprit.
NOTE: On the HDS, you'll see TCS DTC 31 listed
as TCS DTC 31-2.
Inspect the ignition switch solder joints for any
signs of overheating. If you notice the solder joints
are melted, replace the ignition switch.

Honda Odyssey 2003 cruise control will not come on. Could it be a fuse or? I push the selector to set the cruise to on and nothing happens. Any ideas what is wrong?

is the check engine light on, key on, and out driving?
if not the newer honda;s cut CRUISE, for many failures.
they dont want to be like Toyota, and car drives it self, LOL.
no kidding.!!!
so today cruise is LAST. to work.
if the ECU is in limphome , cruise is cut.
so connect a scan tool and scan for DTCs.

i cant guess country , nobody ever post this. but up in canada
the the PCM is differernt and the CEL may not glow for some very bad errors, (misfire is one) so scan it, and win.
if no DTC then its a real cruise failure.

I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan. I has been running terrible, rapid misfire, constant stutering. We took it in and the mechanic said it was the sparkplugs. We had them replaced and the van ran...

It would help a great deal if you could list the trouble codes stored in the car's computer. These Diagnostic Trouble Codes or DTC's can be downloaded at most major auto parts stores. They will do it for free. With the codes, there is a good chance for an accurate diagnoses. Without them, only a bunch of guesses as to what could be the problem.

DTC P0740: Problem in Lock-up Control System

As per Honda Service Bulletin 02-062 (January 5, 2007), DTC P0740 testing procedures have been replaced by the following:

Got an A/T DTC 0740? Don't Replace the Solenoids
If you're troubleshooting a '99-04 Odyssey for an A/T DTC P0740 (lock-up control system), don't replace the TCC, shift, or linear A/B solenoids if the A/T has more than 10,000 miles racked up. What's most likely causing this DTC is low line pressure resulting from the inlet screen being clogged with clutch material. To fix this problem, see additional information below, and replace the A/T.

Radio not accepting manufactur code.

If it is the correct code, you may have entered it a few times & locked the system. Either disconnect the battery & wait a minute & reconnect & retry, or pull the radio fuse & retry after waiting a minute & reinstalling.

2003 odyssey studders @ 50 -55 mph seems to studder more if i press on throttle then fall back to 50-55

1999-2003 Honda Odysseys have trouble with their transmissions. Google "honda odyssey transmission" and look at the wikipedia article that comes up for Honda odysseys. In about the fourth paragraph you will find out about the transmission problems. If your van is acting up, have the transmission checked out sooner vs. later. It won't get better on it's own. Have the diagnostic trouble codes retrieved from the car's computer--any code that starts with 17 as in "1740" or codes that start with zero like "0730" are transmission codes and signs of impending failure. I know because my 2002 with 165,000 miles just failed.

Keep getting code po420

Before Checking a Catalytic
Converter DTC
Before you troubleshoot an OBD II vehicle that stores
DTC P0420 (67) (catalyst system efficiency below
threshold), run these quick checks:
1. Check for a leak in the exhaust system. If you find
one, repair it, clear the DTC, and test-drive the
vehicle.
• If the DTC returns, go to step 2.
2. Connect the PGM Tester, and test-drive the vehicle
while an assistant monitors the voltage signal from
the secondary oxygen sensor (HO2S S2). After the
catalyst reaches operating temperature, the HO2S S2
voltage should stay between 0.5 and 0.8 V at steady
cruising speed. During deceleration, the voltage
should be steady at 0.1 V or less.
• If the voltage readings are OK, clear the DTC.
• At cruising speed, if the voltage fluctuates or stays
below 5 V, go to step 3.
3. Measure the inlet and outlet external temperatures of
the catalytic converter with a thermometer capable
of reading up to 500°F.
• If the outlet temperature is more than 100°F hotter
than the inlet temperature, the converter is OK.
• If the outlet temperature is less than 100°F hotter
than the inlet temperature, replace the converter.

Where is the low pressure switch for my Honda Odyssey 2003 AC ?

The A/C pressure switch is located in the high pressure line (the skinny one) on the passenger side of the engine compartment just under the fuse/relay box. The switch has three functions: <28 psi, the switch opens to protect the compressor from lack of lubrication. >220 psi, the switch shifts the radiator and compressor fan to high speed. >455 psi, the switch opens to protect the compressor seals. Check to see if you have any powertrain DTC's first. A faulty engine coolant temp sensor can cause problems with the compressor clutch relay. If the radiator and compressor fan come on with the A/C on but the compressor clutch does not operate, check the compressor clutch relay. You can also obtain Heater control panel diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) by turning the ignition switch on. Then turn fan switch off. Press recirc button to select recirc air. Press and hold recirc to turn off recirc air but this time continue to hold the button down until recirc light comes on for two seconds and then goes off. If there is any trouble, the recirc light will then blink a code (if no trouble, the light will remain off) 1 blink = problem in air mix control motor circuit. 2 blinks = a problem in mode control motor circuit. 3 blinks = a problem in evaporator temperature sensor circuit. (this one could be a factor in your case) Turn the ignition switch off to end the test.
