I believe the headlight assembly just pulls straight out. There are locating lugs on the headlight assembly which line up with corresponding lugs on the body work. There is also a problem with the headlight glass falling out as well. Replacements can be bought at the right price on e'Bay.

How do I replace a headlamp assy.

There should be one screw that hold the top of the headlamp assembly to the upper radiator support. It is either a 9/32" or an 8mm. Once that screw is removed pull out on the headlamp assemble. It should pop out. Sometimes you will need a large screwdriver to pop the metal mounting balls out of the sockets. You can just barely see the inside one if you look on the back of the headlamp assembly. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Can't find cooling fan relay on 2002 Grand Cherokee 6cyl.

It lives under the right headlamp below the plastic bracket that holds the headlamp assembly. You can gain access one of two ways. Remove the bumper fascia, headlamps, and bracket that runs across the front of the car. Or, remove the right headlamp and use a hole saw to drill a one and a half to two inch hole in the bottom of the bracket. Once the headlamp is back in place the hole won't show and the integrity of the bracket will remain.
