My 1996 dodge stratus idles rough, shaking the steering wheel. Also just recently driving my normal comute to college and back which is 40 miles round trip, in turn is now consuming 4 gallons of gasoline. I always accelerate below 2000 rpm and try to keep it below 2000 rpm to save fuel but recently it doesn't like to stay below 2000rpm's at all. My highway rpm's is about 3000 without putting my foot on the gas when im up to speed. Any advice?

Seems like we need a tune up . Change the plugs wires, air filter fuel filter. Is the check engine light on. If so have the codes pulled on the car.

Shaking at low speed

Does it shake all the time, or only when you use the brakes ?
A slow speed shake without using the brakes is most often a bad tire. The alignment only affects how the car steers.

Sudden release of power while driving at 65 miles

at that high a mileage it could be very likely the trans is starting to fail, have the computer tested for transmission trouble code's (trans is fully electronically shifted and controlled), also it is very unlikely the alignment check is related.

2002 Dodge Stratus Squeaks

I would check the lower control arm bushings and sway bar bushings for the squeak, and the shaken when breaking means you have warped rotors,if it shakes in the steering wheel its the frt,if the whole car shakes then it usaaly means it is in the rear rotorsor drums.
