Hello. Begin by checking the fuse that controls the sunroof, just look in your owner manual under fuses and you will find a diagram and location for where to look. If the fuse is bad, replace it with a new one of the exact same amperage. Also, use a can of pressurized air [like a computer duster] and clean the rocker switch that controls your sunroof, try to blow air behind it on both sides. Finally just rock that switch back and forth rapidly several times which may break the motor free so it will work again. Regards, Joe
PS please rate my answer. Thank you.

SOURCE: sunroof stuck

First off, you should leave it closed. At least you can drive it that way. The grinding could be the motor itself, or a gear inside that has rounded or broken teeth. Another possibility is that it has slipped out of a channel or track. Unless you're pretty handy this sounds like a professional repair job.

I have a 05 Dodge Magnum I Drive it in like maybe 30 minute and it gets hot I let it cool off and it will start again

You need to check your coolant, and water pump, if ok then check your cooling fan. When the car gets hot, leave running, open hood and make sure fan is working

05 Malibu sunroof is stuck open

If it is electric the motor is bad. See who the manufacture is (may be webcast). The have warranties on those, and my 05 equinox was under warranty and I had replaced for free. The model and serial number is on the top track. U might have to stand up top and look down. Contact manufacturer and go from there.

05' magnum keys stuck in ignition

It is possible that your problem is with the shift lock actuator. Charge the battery up. For safety sake charge the battery outside the car. If your ignition is on you don't want to hook up jumper cables. If you do it wrong you can spike the computer. Once you have a strong battery put your trans down in to low and then firmly back into park. The shift lock mechanism is meant to keep you from starting the car without putting your foot on the brake, but if it fails it can be engaged and not let you go back into park. Use a test light to check all your fuses if it still will not work. If that does not do it, start it in neutral and take it to the garage.

Hope that helps.
