2000 Toyota Celica GTS headlights out

The headlights on my 2000 Toyota Celica GTS both stopped working at the same time. The high beams / brights still work though. I have checked the 10A fuses in both the larger fuse box and smaller one under the hood. Are there any other common causes for both to go out at the same time?

The globes filament for low beam are most likely both blown . Check if the plug is getting voltage when the low beam is on or buy a replacement globe and check if this is the case.
How do you know both low beams stopped at the same time ?
They most likely blown at different times but you notice it when both go out and you have zero light. Had this happen to me on a ford falcon EA . Was the globes.
Try not to handle the glass on the replacement globes if Halcyon globes .

SOURCE: Low beam headlights do not

most cars have a fuse or relay for high and low. if they are good test your bulbs then check or replace your dimmer which is in the multifunction switch

SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Celica GTS Clutch

i paid a friend to do it because it's a lot of work! if you haven't already treid to or got it done just know that when my friend did it; it took him like 8 hours (he'd never done one on a celica, but had done them on american cars) so if your not familiar with it... not a good idea to do alone. I watched him do most, but i'm not the best to talk to about it.(plus i have a 2000GT) Some of the parts that i can remember that he took out to get to the clutch were the front driver's side tire, the axel on the same side, ....some other parts in there....and ALSO parts on top...the intake also had to be taken out just to have enough room to do the job. parts are cheap...just ask for a clutch kit at auto zone or whatever. around $150. another random tid bit that might help is make sure to tighten the engine mounts really good afterwards or else it will jump around in there when you turn it on and cut it off. buy gear oil before you start as well because you will need to put some in after the new clutch is in. i will need to put the car on a real lift... you need a lot of space underneath and on top to work. and most likely two people. well hope some of this helped.

Check the harness connections located inside r-rear trunk panel. You will find power top motor & wire harness there.

Headlight switch toyota celica

The headlight control switch is on the steering column. To replace the switch remove the plastic trim covers over the steering tube to reveal the switch and connectors. Disconnect the battery negative cable before starting work, this is a must. Below is a picture of the switch.

My tail lights and illumination in the ac controls and gear selector stopped working. i own a 2000 celica gts

check the fuse.
Unless you just had something done in the dash, it is easiest to check the fuse first.
Instrament lights and tail lights are on the same circuit .

Clock lights is extremly dim on my 2000 Celica GTS, what is the solution. Is there a possible "weak" fuse, if so which fuse is it and what voltage should I replace it with... A new clock is 300 from...

There should be a resistor switch on the dashboard to either make it dim or bright, check if it works. Otherwise it is the clock that needs to be replaced.

I have a 2001 toyota celica gt. both front headlights will not come on. the high beams work. the car was hit in the front. does the headlight circuit have a fuse or a relay and where is it located. i found...

Have you checked the light globes ? The globes have a filament for each of Low and High Beams and the Low Beam ones fail much sooner than the high. A bump as you describe may have been enough for the Low beam filaments to fail as the filaments get brittle through age.

I have a 2000 Toyota Celica GT/S. How do you adjust the headlights? Their light line is about 12' in front of the car.

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.
