The conditions that set this code are as follows:
The PCM monitors changes in input voltage on Brake Switch No. 1. If the PCM does not sense voltage changes at PCM terminal 82 when alternately accelerated and decelerated 8 times, the PCM determines that brake switch No. 1 has a malfunction
Possible Causes are:
CODE PO703 BRAKE ON / OFF SWITCH CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION. POSSIBLE CAUSE BRAKE SWITCH IS DAMAGED MISADJUSTED OR INSTALLED IMPROPERLY.THE BRAKE IS OPEN OR SHORTED TO GROUND.THE BRAKE SWITCH POWER CIRCUIT B+ OPEN BETWEEN SWITCH AND PCM.
