Spark plugs wires order on mazda 626 V6 1997

The wires are just pushed on to the spark plugs! Pull off one at a time and replace so as not to mix up the firing order!

Are the plugs wet with fuel?
Check for spark. No spark? it may be the ignition module.

Plugs dry and spark present? No fuel?Spray a little starting fluid and see if it will run on that.
Then check pump fuses and for fuel pump noise.

Remove you spark plug leads and see if they are soaked with oil. If so you will have to remove your valve covers and replace the valve cover gaskets. They tend to leak oil into the area of the spark plug holes. You will have to replace the plug wires also. Just replace them one at a time so you will not losthe firing order.Hope this helps. I read that the firing order was '1,2,3,4,5,6' which is easy to remember: FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired. check the ignition coil power source...get a test light & check for power with the key on @ the positive side of the coil...if it does have power have a friend crank the engine over & check the negative side for a flashing light..if it does then make sure you have spark @ the coil if not replace the coil

The firing order on all four cylinder engines is 1.3.4.2. and number one cylinder is at the opposite end of the engine to the gearbox, at the end with the belts and pulleys.

needle nose plier will work, then replace both wires and plugs.
