Throttle plates are in your throttle body that open and close to allow more air into intake, Depending on fuel system- multi port fuel injection, Throttle body or carburated. In your case it is fuel injected.

The 2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5L does not utilize an idle air control (IAC) valve. Instead, an electronic throttle control (ETC) system is used which Suzuki calls the "main throttle idle actuator" (MTIA). This component is the throttle body assembly but with an internal motor that adjusts the throttle plate open or closed based on accelerator pedal position inputs to the engine control module (ECM). Similarly, the ECM adjusts the throttle plate angle at idle to control idle speed. If the idle speed is not correct, the throttle body may need to be cleaned, calibrated or replaced. Throttle body is located where the hose from the air filter box meets the engine. Big black hose. Remove this hose from the engine side and this will be the throttle body/plate assembly. If it is black/oily inside, clean with carb spray and a toothbrush to remove any dirt/deposits
What Colorado do you have ? 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive ? Sport ,sport LS 3.5L , Z71, Z71 LS. etc. what size engine ? an does it have electronic throttle control ? I have factory service info an it is not showing that code .
DTC P0506
Circuit Description
The throttle actuator control (TAC) motor is controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM). The DC motor located in the throttle body drives the throttle plate. In order to decrease idle speed, the PCM commands the throttle closed reducing air flow into the engine and the idle speed decreases. In order to increase idle speed, the PCM commands the throttle plate open allowing more air to pass the throttle plate. If the actual idle RPM does not match the desired idle RPM within a calibrated time, this DTC sets.
DTC Descriptor
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC P0506 Idle Speed Low
DTC P0507

on the side of the throttle body driverside. it is a plastic piece with two bolts holding it to the side of throttle body right where the throttle plate is. take off the plastic air tube and u will see the plate inside the body its attached to the plate on the outside of body
The throttle body is where air goes into and is regulated by a cable that turns the throttle body 'plate' which is the equivalent of a carburetor throttle 'plate.'
The Throttle Position sensor (TPS) is a potentiometer that provides a
voltage signal to the PCM that is directly proportional to the throttle
plate position. The sensor is mounted on the side of the throttle body
and is connected to the throttle plate shaft. The TPS monitors throttle
plate movement and position, and transmits an appropriate electrical
signal to the PCM. These signals are used by the PCM to adjust the
air/fuel mixture, spark timing and EGR operation according to engine
load at idle, part throttle, or full throttle. The TPS is not
adjustable.
TPS is always located on the end of the throttle plate shaft, it is attached by two torx screws on the throttle body. The same shaft is connected to the throttle cable, through the throttle body and plate and then into the tps.
right on the throttle body right about where the throttle plate is. you can always pop the air cleaner hose off the throttle body to see abouts where the plate is but it's not really necesscary because it's usually within an inch or so right where the hose connects to the TB
