LEXUS AFS FLASHING LIGHT PROBLEM EASY FIX

Sounds as though something went wrong with the change-over valve.
Maybe it is stuck or short of electricity or something.

I suggest you start by reading the handbook and then checking the fuses. If all is ok there locate the valve and while someone works the switch for you try tapping the valve with a small mallet or screwdriver handle.

If that doesn't work it will be time for more in-depth checks. I suggest visiting a Jaguar forum.

That is the afs button next to the gas door button. It turns the headlight turning when the car turns feature on and off.

Switch labelled 'AFS OFF' is down near the fuel door release.'AFS' means Adaptive Front lighting System (at night with the Bi-Xenon headlights) it swivels either side, pressing that button means they stay pointing straight ahead and don't turn when you turn the steering wheel. You need to push the button again to turn the AFS back on.

Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) is used when for example if it was day time and you entered a dark parking garage the lights would detect and adapt to the lighting environment which will then automatically trigger the Bi-xenon headlights to turn on themselves in order to illuminate the road ahead when the vehicle anticipates it is necessary. It is an automatic feature which turns on by itself for your convenience therefore you wont have to induce any actions, the car does it all for you. And most Importantly (I quote) "the Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) automatically controls the headlight lighting pattern according to steering angle and vehicle speed to help provide better visibility at night."
