Sounds like you may have damaged, dislodged or unplugged one of the rear wheel speed sensors or their connectors while doing the rear pads. they are mounted directly on the hub and are the only component w/ wires going to them

problem usually narrows down to abs system problem or hub failing causing problem with abs --have vehicle scanned for the trouble code it will assist you as where to start in repairing problem most auto stores offer this service for free --in the mean time pull the abs fuse so brakes can revert to a normal non abs system till repairs can be made

How can i reset esc and abs dash light

The warning lights will stay on until the problem with the stability control and anti lock braking system is addressed and rectified.

If the warning lights are still showing there is still a problem with the system such as faulty wheel sensors.

Abs light on anf off after rear brake job. Today

Not a booster problem. what bad noises? abs problmes wont make noises, unless its the pump operating. ck the mushy pedal, that will maybe fix all problems. I dont think its related to the 2/4wd lights?

My DSC and Brake warning lamps continuously light up in yellow once the engine has warmed up. They remain on after driving for a while and sometimes they shut off. Any ideas?

Check to see if your brake pads and rotors are in good condition. Or if you have replaced the pads yourself and have not reset the wheel sensors this would cause the ABS Antilock Brake System light and the ASC Automatic Stability Control light to stay on as the ASC uses the ABS brakes with computer assistance to control the car

Dcs and abs light staying on

car is sensing a problem with the stability control system (DSC) or the antilock brake system (ABS). usually an ABS problem will turn off the DSC, so DSC may be ok, just ABS needs a look at.

since its an '08 model, it should still be covered by the BMW warranty provided you live in the USA. take it in and have them fix it. not safe driving with both systems deactivated.
