SOURCE: 2002 Buick Rendezvous alternator removal

To get the alternator out, I had to move that large electical fuse / relay box out of the way,and remove washer bottle and battery. then use a 3/8" drive ratchet to move the tensioner forward to get the belt off. I used a small mirrow to get a view of the back bolts on the alternator and removed them.[ I used meteric # 15 open end & closed end combo wench. Keep turning the back bolts until the alternator become loose.]

SOURCE: 03 Buick Rendezvous Overheating

If the top hose is hot and the bottom is cold, your definitely not getting circulation. You,ve already done alot of work to this vehicle so you have pretty much answered your own question. About the only thing left is the heater core. Of course, I dont want to be the one to tell you it is definitely the heater core because obviously I am not looking at the vehicle. But If i was a betting man, thats where my money would be.

SOURCE: replace heater core on 2002 Buick Rendezvous

Hi there,

Well the heater core is located under the dash on the passenger side, usually cased in a plastic housing. You may have to remove the glove box in order to have access to. And when you get to the point, when you are disconnecting the coolant lines and remove the core you use some clothes to protect the carpet as fluid may drip. Post comments for further help or information........
Good Luck!!

It's not the whole dash. You can get to the plugs within a few minutes. The problem will be figuring out why it was unplugged and fixing the real issues. See link below to access the panel 2002 2007 Buick Rendezvous Checking Heater controls

I own a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, its a 3.4 liter engine and it's leaking coolant from an elbow on the engine firewall, on the passenger side. It only happens when the heater or the a/c is on. Would you...

That elbow goes to the heater core. Just go to a auto parts store, and ask them for a new elbow, remove and replace and everything will be just fine. The heater core controls the heat and cooling for the cabin of the vehicle.

Is there any fluid leaking onto the floor of the passenger side of the vehicle?

1994 buick lesabre heater core removal

The heater core is located under the dash, in the center. The container holding the core looks like a black plastic box. Remove the ash tray for easier access. You may have to also remove some other covers under the dash. You must first drain the radiator then you have to disconnect the hoses. There are two hoses connected to nipples of the heater core that go thru the center of the firewall. Remove the screws that hold on the cover to the heater core. Then you should be able to get the old one out. There might be a couple of other minor steps but I'm sure you can figure them out. For re-installation just go in reverse order to put it all back together.
