Change your coolant. Only use the VW approved fluid in that car.

SOURCE: windshield washer fluid reservoir - MB ML 350

right where the lines connect to reservoir, has little black seals that leak. I recommend removing reservoir, empty it out, then use RTV silicone and place it between seals and reservoir. Let it dry for FULL day. than reinstall.

SOURCE: Windshield washer not working properly

If you have used ANYTHING beside windshield solvent in you reservor, you may have created WAXING from soap in the bottom of washer tank, which clogs pump, lines, and nozzel....take the tank out and wash it..disconnect washer hoses at nozzel and clear with compressed air along with the nozzel...if you use solvent only you may have a worn washer pump or restriction...check those and good luck.....

Coolant reservoir

Its not the end of the world as we know it.
You could probably take the tank off and clean it out and go on.
The only down side is the solvent will dilute the coolant, but not that much.

Where is the reservoir for the rear window washer for 1996 golf 3

the front and rear washer use the same reservoir and the same pump. Volkswagen reverses the polarity to spin the pump in opposite directions depending on whether you want the front or the rear to spray.

I know this is more of a band-aid than an actual fix, but when you fill up your gas tank try putting some Iso-Heat in with it. This seems to help when mine idles rough.

Where do I put the coolant in my 1997 Volkswagen Jetta?

It doesn't go in the radiator. It goes in the round clear coolant reservoir. Open hood and it should be on driver's side near windshield. It's smaller than a basketball, and bigger than a softball. White (yellowed) plastic with a round black cap.

I just wanted to know where to pour the antifreeze in a 1196 toyota camry. I know I should pour it in the radiator or something but I'm not sure where that is?

Hi, coolant goes into the reservoir pictured below. There is a different reservoir for the windshield washer fluid. There is also a much smaller reservoir for the brake fulid. That one is in the right rear of the engine compartment, just in front of the driver. Be careful not to put coolant in the brake or washer fluid reservoir. Thanks for using FixYa.

AmberjugsCan I put brake oil in my VW Golf or does a specialists have to do this?

You can easily put in brake fluid yourself. Just make sure you use DOT4 brake fluid (Castrol, etc..) To top up your fluid locate master cylinder (drivers side, white plastic reservoir just in front of driver) remove cap and top up to "full" level (marked on side of reservoir)

Where do I add coolant on a 1996 VW Golf?

It's actually on the Driver side towards the firewall/windshield. The reservoir looks like a globe. Make sure your engine is cool and remove cap, fill to recommended level (see the lines on the outside of the sphere, should be about half-way).
