What tools will I need?
You need 5/8"spark plug socket in 3/8"drive a 6"long exstension + 3"extension the 3/8 drive ratchet 3/8" universal swivel adapter /////1/4"drive ratchet 7mm+8mm sockets a gap gauge for the plugs ////////also a long flat blade screw driver 14-16 " with the handle included LONG NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS liquid wrench, a can of carburetor / fuel injection cleaner some old sweat socks cut down the middle on both sides to make the sock long and still one piece or old underwear shirts or whatever you have to make long rags for cleaning the spark plug chambers ANTISEIZE LUBRICANT FOR PLUG THREADS ONLY A LITTLE BIT THEN WIPE AROUND THE THREADS SO THEY ARE COVERED IN A LIGHT SILVER COATING/// you can use dielectric grease on the boots of the coils with quips to wipe around the inside use VERY LITTLE HERE BECAUSE ENGINE TEMPERATURE WILL MELT IT AND IF YOU USE TO MUCH IT WILL RUN DOWN FROM INSIDE THE BOOT AND NOW CAUSE SPARK PLUG MISFIRES TO HAPPEN RUINING YOUR NEW COIL BOOTS FROM THE + SPARK MAKING CONTACT WITH THE ENGIBE - GROUND OK VERY LITTLE MEANS THE QTIPS COTTON SIZE OR LESS JUST A DAB WIPED AROUND THE BOOT IS SUFFICIENT
Socket set with extensions and ratchet, dielectric grease and gap gauge to check the plug gap.

Remove the cover in the center of valve covers.

The Lincoln Aviators do not have a drain or filler plug or dipstick for that matter. The owners manual states to take it to an authorized dealer for any type of work on the transmission. Sucks I know, took me about 30 mins to break down and look in the owners manual to see that.

I had the same problem. Maybe you still have some bad ignition coils. I would change them all out. Very simple to do yourself.
Also, check the hose that is connected to your PCV valve. Mine had a huge hole in it from melting and it was sucking in to much air.

Be very careful taking the old plugs out steady even pressure with the ratchet as straight as possible and the socket firmly seated on the plug ///CAUTION THESE 4.6/5.4 ENGINES HAVE A HISTORY OF THE PLUGS SNAPPING OFF IN THE HEAD FROM NOT USING THE ANTISEIZE LUBRICANT FOR THEM IN THE PAST IF THEY ARE TO TIGHT USE THE LIQUID WRENCH TO LOOSEN THEM SPRAYING IN THE CHAMBERS FOR 1 HOUR OR MORE ////DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT THIS IS COMBUSTIBLE AND YOU WILL BE CLEANING THE CHAMBERS BEFORE YOU PUT IN THE NEW PLUGS WITH RAGS AND FUEL INJECTION OR BRAKE PARTS CLEANER ALL ARE COMBUSTIBLE TURN YOUR RATCHET LEFTY LOOSEY /RIGHT TIGHT OK TURN THE PLUGS IN BY HAND WITH THE EXSTENSION THEN SNUG THEM WITH THE RATCHET 1/8 OF A TURN OR LESS
