My 2004 Santa Fe has developed a significant leak between the engine and transmission. I can see the area of the leak and the fluid seems to be transmission, not oil. Am I looking a potential big...

Check and see if the leak is not further up. A leak between the transmission and engine is a seal. Even though the seal is $ 10.00 The labor is $400.00+

Ok my tappets on my hyundai santa fe 2003 4 cylinders is making noise and i would like to know what can fix that

The problem with hydraulic lifters is they clog loose oil flow.I will give you a trick my dad taught me years ago.Drain two quarts of the engine oil and top it off with auto transmission fluid. No this will not damage engine.Let the vehicle idle till the noise is gone, may take an hour. Then change oil and filter.I have been using a quart of atf in my oil for 20 years and i drive high mileage vehicles with lots of miles.I am driving a 95 chevy van and a 01 buick both with over 200k and no oil leaks or sludge in the engine.Cheap fix.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 3.5L with automatic transmission. 48K miles. When I start the car after sitting over night, I hear this whirring/whining noise from the engine compartment. I goes away...

your whining noise might be comming from dry belts in order to pinpoint your problem have a jug of water ready before startup open the bonnet then startup if the noise appears pour water over the belts if noise goes away replace v belts
