I would think its a flasher relay or switch problem, do the indicators work when used via the stalk switch ? if they do then I'd start with the hazard switch
check your service book or your local dealer if its 5 years old its poss due by age and not distance but dont take the chance GET IT CHANGED IF IT BREAKS IT WILL DESTROY THE ENGINE
possible clutch cable or cluth itself, check the clutch cable first to see if its stretched, i didnt check and put a new clutch in ,and wasted £250 , try euro car parts for cheapest clutch cable.
Hi, My postmans Megane has the same grief, I tried changing the power steering fluid but made it worse, looks like the pump itself. If your clutch is heavy to then the cable is possibly stretched and needs replacing. Oh Make sure there aren't any carpets under the clutch stopping the full travel of your pedal. Good Luck. If the problem is just a clutch cable (clio 55 plate should be cable, not hidraulic), you can adjust or replace the clutch cable quit easily.
If the problem concerns instead the clutch disk, then you will need to put a car up on a bridge, empty the oil and fluid, and remove the clutch that is attached on the engine, on the right lower side. This is usually not a job for home repair.
