Changing headlights We have a 95 jeep grand cherokee and we bought new headlights changed them out everything was fine they work, but we can not get the new lights to clamp on the clips. What can I do? Can I change the clips to a different size? They have a little ball on the ends that seem to be to big to clip into the new lights.

Suggest changing the clip fastener, or failing that, find some adaptation.

HOW TO CHANGE HEADLIGHT BULBS ON 2000 GRAND CHEROKEES
Relatively simple: you need a 7mm metric socket for the one and only bolt to remove directly on top of headlight fixture. After you remove the long bolt, gently pull out the light fixture. Turn the bulb fixture counter clockwise and unsnap piece. Replace the bulb and snap in. Put fixture back into place and turn clockwise. Check headlight before you put the entire light fixture back. Note: check signal directionals as the they will not work unless the light bulb is properly placed back in.

My 1996 jeep cherokee headlamps turn off and on on 5 second intervals. what could be the solution

I'm going to post this in the clarification section. I don't have a wiring diagram for a 96 Grand Cherokee headlight circuit.
The 95 models used a circuit breaker built-into the headlight switch. The 97 models used a fuse in the fuse box. If your model uses the headlight circuit breaker, a short in one of the headlights or the wiring harness would trip the circuit breaker in the switch. You could unplug one headlight at a time to see if it continues to go on and off.

Jeep grand cherokee head lamps

Two items to check. headlight relays and body control module. Also make sure firewall and dash grounding is good. Might also be a multi-function switch internal problem (part of directional switch) You need to test or without fail, you'll change everything and the last part changed will be the one with the problem.
Get a decent manual and a test light or better, volt meter.

I've lost the keys to a '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Orvis. Is there a solution other than changing out all the cylinders?

Yes, you can take your photo ID and your proof of registration to the dealer. They can cut new keys by looking up the key code for your vehicle.
