98 Buick Regal -engine quits

My 98 Regal GS shuts off on me. I changed the fuel filter but problem persists. Once engine is cold it will start but after about 10 minutes it shuts off and will not restart until the engine is cold. Soon as engine warms up it shuts down so problem seems to be temp related even though temp gage is in normal range & oil lite does not come on.

As suggested, I checked fuel pressure with a gage and do not lose pressure until after the engine quits and will not restart until it cools back down. Removed ignition control module and it passed all tests repeatedly. Any other advice will be appreciated.

Ok its one of two things you need to check when it cuts off if you have spark or fuel if you lose fuel pressure replace pump it gets hot and makes noise like its running but its not pumping fuel and if you lose spark you need to replace ignition control module has a hair line crack in it and when gets hot the crack expands and loses contact and wala no spark

ok so when it wont start we still have fuel pressure and sparkwhile its hot try taking a scanner and check the coolant tem sensor and see if it is reading the same temp as car if it difers more than 10 degrees replace cts try that and let me know well figure it out to bad you wernt in ga i could come look at it

1997 buick regal gs supercharge starts then shuts off what could be the problem

First thing I would need to know is if you are loosing spark or fuel pressure when the engine stops.
If it is fuel, it could be the engine oil pressure switch. The fuel pump gets power from the pump relay in crank mode, then from the oil pressure switch once the engine starts.

1998 buick regal gs heat blows hot on passenger side and cold on the driver side.

Same problem on my 98 Regal GS; remove glove box, locate the blend door actuator, (black odd shaped box with metal "ring"). Remove the box and manually turn the blend door shaft it was attached to. If you get cold air, it's the actuator you removed. About 30-40 dollars.

I have a 99 Buick Regal GS, engine will start and run for few seconds then it will die.

I had a similar problem....my 98 regal GS did the same. There is a two stage fuel pump resistor located in the right inner finder. It was corroded and open. The fix requires relocating new resister on firewall. Fix was $165.00 + tax to my mechanic and runs like new now. Hard to diagnose problem per mechanic.

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE IT SHOULD BE 41 - 47 PSI. IF NOT REPLACE FUEL FILTER.IF NO CHANGE. REPLACE FUEL PUMP.IF FUEL PUMP IS GOOD.YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE A INTAKE LEAK OR SPARK IGNITION PROBLEMS.ALSO USE A SCANNER TO CHECK FOR FAULTY SENSORS OR THEFT DETERENT PROBLEMS.
