The same thing happened with my changer only it froze up while driving in the middle of a road trip - it seemed like a stuck CD but it was empty. Eventually, I think this wore my battery down because it kept trying to fix itself and I could not even jump start it. Even when I turned it off it still kept going. Are you sure it was lights? Maybe the CD changer started it. We were in an out-of-town situation where we had to buy a brand new battery, as soon as it was installed the cd player was fixed.
Hi, the first thing to try is remove all the disks out of the changer then try switching it back on.
if this dont work then could you tell me is your changer seperate from the stereo ie under the seat or in the boot then i can assist you further ok
Hi, is their a cd in the changer or can you put one in the changer.
Is it frozen completly and you cant do nothing with it.
What sounds like happend is the cd changer got screwed up as the battery was going flat but not completely flat what you should try to di is disconect the battery for a few minutes but make sure stereo is turned off whilst you do this, then when you reconect the battery switch the ignition on the switch the stereo on dont press anything else at this moment give the stereo chance to reset itself.
After a couple of minutes try using the stereo then let me know what happens ok then ill assist you further.
Because the batter never went flat enough to reset the stereo it sort of get messed up as the power goes below a certain level then comes back up again not giving the stereo time to reset itself so give this a try then get back to me ok

The cd is part of the in-dash radio installation.
