SOURCE: Transmission fluid capacity for 2000 Kia Sephia?

The four speed automatic shows a total fill (that is all the fluid it can hold) is 5.7 Quarts. So if you just dropped the pan and relplaced the filter, you shouldnt need more than 4 quarts and likely you would have a little extra with that.

SOURCE: hold keeps coming on in my 99 kia sportage what

Look on the shifter lever, just bellow the push button. There is another push button there. That's the one you press or depress to keep the transmission on 3rd. gear. Just press it again and the hold light should come off.

Transmission oil not flowing from masterr cylinder to slave cylinder when bleeding

of course it won't be
transmission oil is mineral oil and brake fluid is vegetable base oil
no connection between the two systems
if you have been putting transmission oil in the brake or clutch systems, the rubbers will be expanded and n blocking all the holes and hoses

Where to add gear oil to manual 2002 kia sportage

For a manual transmission, an SAE 75W-30 transmission oil is recommended. For an automatic transmission, Dextron II E or M-III is recommended. The 2002 Kia Sportage hold 2 quarts of transmission fluid. It is recommended that these fluid levels be checked every six months and changed or refilled as needed. The fill spout should be on the left side of the engine block and the fluid will be red in color.

Manual Transmission stick jammed after BRAKE Light ON for a day. 2002 Kia Sportage ONLY drives in 4th gear. Mechanic says Brake Fluid in Kia Sportage Lubes and Cools Manual Transmission? Might have gone...

Need more info on what the trans is doing , or not doing. No chance that brake fluid cools or lubes your transmission. The only possible connection is that your clutch is hydraulic which would use brake fluid , but two totaly different systems. Does your clutch feel funny?

How to change transmission fluid and filter in a 2001 kia sportage, my car sounds as if it is not switching gears, the other day i was sitting in park and the rpms jumped up to like 2 and then it was quiet...

the is a drain plug on bottom of tranny. Remove all tranny fluid. Then remove bolts on the tranny pan, remove pan. Remove couple filter bolts and change filter. Replace new gasket and tranny pan. Fill up tranny with 8 quarts or whatever your user manual says with correct fluid.

Losing brake fluid(2001 kia sportage)

Check the rear wheel cylinders if you have drum brakes on the rear. Check the master cylinder cap to be sure it's on right & snug. Use D.O.T. 3 fluid, not synthetic. If you're losing fluid there's a reason. Check the front brake pads & slides for the calipers, could be frozen with rust & eating up the pads. Fluid would seem low if the pads are shot.

Clutch problem I think

Sound like you may have cracked or broken the Clutch Master Cylinder or the plastic line that runs to the clutch slave which is mounted on the transmission. This causes the fluid to run out therefore you have not got enough fluid pushing the clutch pedal to make it work properly. Check your fluid level and see if its low. If it is, fill with fluid, pump the clutch and look for leaks.
