The trunk is stuck shut. Nothing I can think of will open it. Not the inside latch (which is unlocked), the key on the outside, the alarm node button, or any combination of the above. I tried taking the seat off, but the part at the top that is supposed to pop off, appears to have the bolts too tight to pop off. My next step is to try to take the seat off again, by bending it up enough to get a wrench on the top bolts. Once the seat is off, I then hope the hole is big enough to get into the trunk to "force the latch" open or somehow get it to release. Then buy a new one?? Any thoughts would be very helpful. Thanks
You may want to try removing the rear seat and the seat back. Grab a flash light and a long bladed flathead screwdriver. In the center of the lid inside is the latch it has a slot into which the screwdriver will fit. turn itcounterclockwise, and the lid should pop up, if not have someone on the out side pulling up lightly at the time you turn the latch release. If you get it open make sure that there are no foreign objects in the latch, try your key with the lid open and make sure that is working okay. That's about it. I wouldn't advise drilling at all be cause often times you end up having to use a slide hammer to remove the old lock and this distorts the lid.And you'll just have another key to keep track of. It's a good weekend project for you and a friend

The lock keyhole is at the top and the latch is at the bottom. If I drill the lock hole will sticking a screwdriver in release it at the bottom? It doesn't seem like it would do anything. Thoughts?
Thanks
Billy-
