I bought a new stereo for my honda hook it up will not work previous stereo did work don't know if the black wire which is the ground has come alose had stereo check its good need to know where the...

The vast majority of cars are Negatively ground. Meaning the negative return for your car runs through the cars frame and metal components. You probaby wont find a ground wire other than the actual negative black wire on the battery, which you will find is attached to the cars metal structure somewhere. Even if there is a ground wire from another compnent within your car to connect to within the car, you can get away without using it. Simply connect the black ground wire from your stereo to somewhere metal, ie slightly under a screw or bolt that goes into the metal subframe or engine firewall under the dash somewhere, join the wire around the screw / bolt and ensure it has good wire to metal contact, the tighten the screw/ bolt up. The subframe / firewall will act as the metal conducter to return power to the negative terminal of your battery. Make take a bit of trial and error to find a good point to join the ground wire but not too difficult to figure out.

My son's 1997 Honda Accord has an aftermarket stereo that works but his cigarette lighter doesn't. Could it be a fuse?

The thing is, whoever hooked up the stereo would know for sure where the connected into in order to get power to the stereo. If they went off somewhere ealse other than what the factory made to be the power for the stereo it would make sense. In the accord for your year the power to the stereo and the cigarette lighter is the same fuse if it was hooked to the same wiring that came with the vehicle. They may have by accident disconnected the lighter and it's just not hooked up at all. You can check the fuse for the cigarette lighter if you would like. that fuse is in the fuse panel located in the engine compartment and will be in the number 18 position and sould be a 15 amp fuse ( see diagram of the layout of fuses below). If that fuse is bad and corrects the problem then they hooked up to another power source when they hooked up the stereo. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Your amp as nothing to do with your car runnig bad. Your engine has a problem. It's miss fireing may be do to bad coil or even spark plugs or spark wires

How to take out 91 accord engine from the car

Jump in! 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm. There is a hooking bracket on the head near the ps pump and a hooking bracket on the transmission. Loosen everything, unplug everything, drain coolant, pop axles out and lift them both out at the same time. If you're putting another motor in, try to get the same as yours according to external coil or internal coil on the distributor. 90 or 91 is easiest with your car. If not you'll be swapping your entire wiring harness. If you're putting an EX motor in an LX car (or other way around) you'll also need to change the header "o2 sensor is in a different spot", AC pump bracket and AC pump. I put a 93 EX in a 90 LX and it is fine! Extra work but runs great.

I dont know how to wire it to my car stereo wires

Do yourself a favor and run to audio store or even autoparts store & get an adapter plug/harness, cost is a few bucks but well worth it. It plugs into factory harness & you wire your new stereo to it according to diagram with new system.

'91 honda accord

Ok start from the beginning, you are going to need a factory wiring diagram to make sure you are connecting the wires to the ignition coil where I believe you need to start
