SOURCE: torque specs for valve cover

not sure there is such a thing. I've never seen anybody use a torque wrench on valve cover bolts. Just use a nut driver (screwdriver type) or a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, and tighten as much as you can. They don't need to be very tight.

What's the torque spec for 3.9 dakota rocker arm bolts

In the 2000 Dakota, the torque is 21 ft lb/28 N m. I suspect this torque is the same for all 3.9 L V6 engines.

Leaking valve cover gaskets

The problem is over tightening.

If you over tighten your fastners you will sqeeze your gaskets too much and they WILL leak.

You can use black silicon sealant LIGHTLY but you don't really need it. If you have the V6...the torque on them nuts are only 80 in lbs each
